Nancy

Nancy Schneider

Nancy has pursued teaching all of her life.

  • As an academic coach, tutor, and test prep instructor, Nancy founded Arbor Road Academy in June 2015. Since that time she has taught students with varied learning styles and tailored her instruction to meet their very different needs. Before June 2015, for eight years, Nancy served in a similar capacity at Forsyth Country Day School, where she tutored, coached, and taught math SAT prep to all juniors as a mandatory class.

  • For seven years as an attorney with Kilpatrick Stockton, Nancy instructed jurors and argued to judges about complex litigation issues in the courtroom.

  • For five years, Nancy mentored campers and taught swimming lessons, lifesaving skills, and life skills as a counselor at Camp Seafarer.

  • For twenty-plus years, Nancy has raised her own two grown sons: one, a graduate of Princeton University ('17), and the other, a graduate of The United States Naval Academy ('20).

A graduate of the University of Virginia with high distinction and of the University of Virginia School of Law, Nancy guides and mentors her students to reach their full potential – to maximize the benefit of homework and classroom assignments, to manage efficiently time and materials, to eke out the most points in standardized testing, and to seek balance in life.  She has assisted her students with every aspect of the high school experience and finds real joy in helping students to become their best selves and to realize their dreams.
